Please enter through Gate 4\, Stirling Avenue\, off Federal Highway – entrance near Caltex and McDonalds. \nWANT TO BUY? \nThere will be preloved second hand ski and snowboard items for sale along with new items from local retail stores\, children to adult sizes. All proceeds from the event go toward supporting local ACT snow sports programs and events. \nThe Sale will be open 8.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday May 8 2021. \nWANT TO SELL? \nDrop off items to EPIC\, 12.00pm – 7.00pm on Friday May 7. They will then be labelled by our volunteers and put on display for the Sale on the Saturday. \nThere is a charge of $2 per item lodged into the sale. Snow Australia takes a 25% commission if your goods are sold. You will receive a balance by bank transfer after the event. \nAny unsold gear must be collected after the Sale on the Saturday between 3.00pm – 4.00pm. You can ring us to check that you have goods to be collected before coming in. \nPlease be realistic with items you want to sell\, older items such as straight skis may be unlikely to sell. The ACT Jobs Fair is an opportunity for you to meet face-to-face with employers and talk to them about real and current employment opportunities\, apprenticeships\, training and career options in the ACT and the surrounding region. \nNot only are there jobs on offer\, there are also services to help you find your next job. There are workshops on how to improve your chances of getting a job\, including sessions on writing résumés\, interview tips and job search techniques. \nIf you are struggling to find work\, you can speak to local employment support services which can help you to gain skills and confidence to increase your ability to find employment more quickly. \nThis event will follow the ACT Government’s COVID Safe Event Protocol. It’s an opportunity to explore the variety of gems available for purchase and meet suppliers who offer knowledge and competitive pricing in their field of gems. \nEvent timings/dates:\n• Saturday 7 November from 10:00am to 5:00pm\n• Sunday 8 November from 10:00am to 4:00pm \nAccess to the Mallee Pavilion – Important information\n• The Mallee Pavilion will ONLY be accessible through Gate 4 (Via McDonalds & Service Station).\n• The main entrance (Gate 2) at EPIC is ONLY for access to the COVID-19 Testing Centre. \nCOVID-10 information for patrons of the Gem Show:\n• Patron numbers in the pavilion will be limited to about 100 at a time;\n• Patrons will be expected to sign in and provide their contact details;\n• Face masks will be available for those who want them;\n• Sanitising stations will be located in the pavilion;\n• Cashless payments are a preferred payment option onsite.\n• Patrons will be expected to sanitise their hands at the dealer stalls BEFORE picking up items to examine. \nFor further information contact the Club’s Show Convener\, Norm Menadue on (02) 6258 6631.
